Why the Trillium flower? The Trillium is a flower only found in North America and Asia. It’s a delicate and beautiful flower that pops up in early spring before most everything else. I like those first signs of changing seasons and the hopefulness those signs bring as we descend out of darkness and cold.
The Trillium has three symmetrical leaves that symbolize Consciousness, Embodiment, and Mutuality. These are values that resonate with me as I guide you through the therapeutic process. I do strongly believe that we have the power within us to be consciously aware of things that are and are not working for us and to make changes accordingly. I am here to help you embody the changes you’d like to make and to help you make connections with yourself and with others. I value mutuality in the relationship we will build as we work towards accomplishing your goals in our time together. I respect that you have the knowledge within you to accomplish great things and I feel lucky to see your process.
I have over 20 years of experience working with people experiencing mental health issues. I spent the first 17 years of my practice working with adult survivors of domestic abuse and sexual assault. I’m acutely aware of how our early experiences shape the patterns in our lives.
My most recent experiences as a mental health provider have allowed me to work with caregivers of those with dementia, and those impacted with serious health issues.
I have a well-rounded practice and work to meet you where you are in your own personal process. I believe that everyone has the inner strength to make positive changes in their lives, and I’m grateful to be a tool in your own personal toolbox. Abraham Maslow said, “if all you have is a hammer, everything looks like a nail”. I like to help you dig around in your own personal toolbox for better fixes for the “job” at hand.
Available for appointments on Saturdays in Tukwila, WA. I specialize in treating trauma, depression and anxiety in adults from 18-100. Private pay and out-of-network only at this time.
Available for supervision of Social Workers working towards licensure.
